Admission to Membership
6. a. Active Registered Members
Active registered members shall consist of those individuals who are admitted as voting members by the Board of Directors on payment of such fees and compliance with such conditions of membership as are imposed by the directors from time to time.
b. Inactive Registered Members
Inactive registered members shall consist of those individuals who were previously Active Registered members but ceased to be actively engaged in Cardio-Pulmonary technology and/or a closely related field but wish to remain members of the Association. These individuals will continue to pay fees appropriate to their inactive status and comply with such conditions of membership as are imposed by the Board of Directors from time to time. If this individual should again become actively engaged in Cardio-Pulmonary technology in the medical and/or closely related fields, the individuals Active status will be reinstated, as per the provisions of Active Registered membership status.
c. Honourary Members
Honourary members shall be persons to whom the Association wishes to grant special recognition. Nomination of Honourary Membership must be made to the Board of Directors and must be approved by a unanimous vote of the Board of Directors.
d. Supporting Members
Supporting members shall be those individuals directly interested in or associated with the practice of Cardio-Pulmonary technology who desire to support the objectives of the Association with participation in such membership privileges as herein after defined. Nominations for supporting membership must be approved by a majority vote of all Board Members.
e. Associate Members
Associate members shall be any company or organization that is actively engaged in the manufacture, development or servicing of scientific instruments and/or materials; or a Society or Organization of Scientific fields related to that of physiology. Associate members shall be elected by resolution of the Board of Directors subject to the provision of the following bylaws and such conditions and regulations as the Board may, from time to time prescribe.
