Fee Structure
9 a. The Board of Directors, at its discretion may from time to time impose entrance or transfer fees not to exceed the amount of the annual fees applying to the kind of membership sought.
b. Honourary members shall be exempt from payment of entrance or annual fees.
c. Candidates for admission who are required to pass an examination held by the Association, shall pay a fee for each such examination, to be determined by the Board of Directors, which shall be payable at the time of application for membership.
d. Annual dues, unless otherwise amended by a two-thirds vote of ballots cast by members voting following a resolution passed by the Board of Directors recommending specific changes in fees for one or more classes of members, the annual fee shall be as follows:
i. Active Registered Member $ 150.00
ii. Student/Registration Eligible Member $ 75.00
iii. Supporting Member $ 50.00
iv. Associate Member $ 300.00
v. Inactive Registered Member $ 60.00
Members elected after the thirtieth day of November shall not be liable for any annual fees for that current year provided that they pay their annual fee for the following year before the thirty first day of December of the current year.
e. After notification that membership fees are due, the fees must be postmarked no later than December 31st of the current calendar year and received by the treasurer in fourteen days. A late or reinstatement fee may be levied against any member whose fees are in arrears at this time. If the fees are not received in one month from the due date, membership shall be terminated.
f. Retired members, on the retirement from active work of a person who has been a member of the Association in good standing for a period not less than twenty years and who has attained the age of sixty years, the Board of Directors may, at its discretion, waive payment of annual fees.
g. The Board of Directors shall have the power to enter into an agreement with any other similar Association to determine a joint membership fee.
h. All applications for membership shall be made on the form prescribed by the Board of Directors.
